Show SPALDING IS THANKED At the sixth annual convocation of the Episcopal - missionary district of Salt Lake this morning, the. following resolution resolu-tion was . presented and . adopted by a rising vote: . ; ' "Resolved, That this convocation as a body at its first meeting under the direction direc-tion of Bishop Spalding, express to him Its most cordial welcome and assurances of hearty co-operation in all that makes for the progress of the churcb In this district, and its earnest wish .or his health and happiness." Bishop Spalding made an earnest address ad-dress of thanks and appreciation. The standing committee, or the council coun-cil of advice, was appointed as follows: The Rev. James B. Eddie, dean of St Mark's cathedral; the Rev. C. E. Perkins, rector of St. Paul's church: Prof. O. M. Marshall, and Judge M. L. Ritchie. The Rev. Mr. Eddie, the Rev. Mr. Per. kins, and the Rev. George C. Hunting were appointed examining chaplains for Nevada. Utah and Wyoming. '1 The Rev. Hiram Bullls of Colorado Springs, the Rev. J. W. Gunn Of Montrose. Mont-rose. Colo., and the Rev. 'Mr. Ward were appointed examining chaplains for Colorado, Colo-rado, i The Rev. Dean Eddie, the Rev. Charles E. Perkins, the Rev. Amoldus Miller of Delta, Coloithe Rev. J. W. Gnnn, Montrose, Mont-rose, Colo., and the Rev.. Alfred Brown of Ogden were appointed clerical delegates dele-gates to the seventh missionary conference, confer-ence, which meets tomorrow. The laity delegates to the conference were appointed as follows: Judge M. L. Ritchie. W. A. Druehl. and. Messrs. Putnam, Put-nam, Houghton and Stevensen. The work of the convocation "will be concluded this afternoon. |
