Show $ Home Wedding Followed By Informal ception Miss Delia Rae Hancock became the bride of Dean Powell of Lehi in a lovely home wedding July 16. The candlelight ceremony was performed by Theron S. Hall, bishop of the Seventh ward, be- fore immediate family members and close friends. The couple stood before a mantle banked with pink and white Glads with tapers on either side. The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Hancock, was beautifully attired in a white satin wedding gown entrain. Her finger-tip veil was fashioned in a crown of seed-pearls and she rnr-ried a nrettv bouquet of gar- denias and pink rose-buds. She was attended by her sister, Miss Beverly Hancock, as maid of honor. She wore pale green with gold sequin trim and little Ann Hancock, trainbearer, was dressed in pink taffetta. Others in the receiving line were Mr. and Mrs. Palfreyman, parents of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Shirtluff Powell, parents of the groom. The mothers wore formals of black and white corsages of gardenias and rosebuds. Doing best man duties for his brother was Laren Powell. Immediately after the ceremony, cere-mony, a request number, "You Do" was rendered by Miss Ruth Sargent and Miss Ramona Leonard, Leo-nard, accompanied by Miss Carol Conover. Approximately two hundred guests were served refreshments on the lawn with vari-colored lights lending color to the scene. A pretty tiered wedding cake, decorated de-corated in pink and white, was on the serving table. Tmi-ino- fho veninsr. music was During the evening, music was furnished by Mrs. Eileen Bird and ' Mrs. Mary Bird In charge of refreshments were Mrs. Lawrence Clark and Mrs. Harvey Whitney, Jr., assisted by a group of girl friends of the bride. Mrs. Janice Taylor was in charge of the gift room. Following the 'reception, the young couple left on a few days honeymoon to northern Utah and Wyoming and upon .their return will make their home in Salt Lake City. i |
