DAV Announces National Meet More than 1300 chapters of the Disabled American Veterans were busy this month preparing resolutions resolu-tions for submission to the 1948 national convention of the DAV to be held in the Hotel New Yorker, New York City, August 15-21. , Meeting in local session and state convention gatherings, DA.V members are deliberating resolutions resolu-tions that will be the basis for the next year's program of the DAV- . f With 37 state departments ot the DAV holding conventions, most meetings will have been concluded con-cluded at the end of June. With the DAV national membership mem-bership at an all-time high approximately ap-proximately 150,000 the largest convention in the history of the organization is expected. The theme of the 1948 convention conven-tion is "Just a Handshake is Not Enough" based on a prize-winning cartoon submitted by Roy Justus of the Minneapolis Star in the 1947 DAV national newspaper editorial cartoon contest.
