SYLVESTER ALLAN Cream Puffs Make Tasty Dessert Being a busy housewife and mother as well as working work-ing in church and on civic committees doesn't prevent Mrs. Sylvester Allan of Mapleton from makino the verv hesT kinds of dishes and trying all kind?., of good recipes. Cream Puffs are a favorite, one which the family really enjoys and which make a nice dessert on any and all occasions. CREAM PUFFS cup butter , " 1 cup water 1 cup flour 4 large eggs Boil butter and water together. Add flour while still boiling. Stir vigorously until mixed good or until un-til it goes into the ball stage when stirred. Then take from stove and add one egg at a time beating rapidly rap-idly until 4 eggs are added. Drop in buttered muffin tins and bake 25 minutes at 450 degrees. Cut slit in top to let cool, fill with whipped cream and diced bananas and top with chocolate sauce. Makes 14 good sized puffs. CHOCOLATE SAUCE 3 squares unsweetened chocolate cup water 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoonful corn syrup 1 cup Sego milk 1 teaspoonful vanilla Melt chocolate in pan over hot water. Add water slowly. Stir until un-til smooth. Add sugar and syrup. Boil until syrup forms soft ball in cold water. Add milk and vanilla. van-illa. Remove from stove. Cool. |
