Show Drs. C. A. and Mary King left on Sunday to attend the convention conven-tion of Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology Oph-thalmology and Otorhenolarynjol" ogy at Philadelphia, Pa., from July Ju-ly 10 to 13. They will also attend the national Osteopathic convention conven-tion at New York City as delegates from Utah, from July 14 to 19. They will also visit Dr. King's folks in Maine and plan to attend the wedding of a brother there July 20, returning , to Springville July 28. Garney Johnson and family of California, visited last week at the home of a brother-in-law, Fred Weight and family, here. Martindale-Robertson Betrothal Announced Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Martindale of this city announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, daugh-ter, Miss Kathryn Martindale, to Dennis Robertson, son of Mrs. Eliza Hardman and daughter daugh-ter Eliza of Seattle, Wash., are visiting Mrs. Hardman's . nieces, Mrs. Russell Blackett and Mrs. Grant Palfreyman and their families fami-lies in Springville. Mrs. James A. Harding and sons Lynn and Creed, have returned to their home in Los Angeles, Cal., after a two-weeks' visit with Mrs. Harding's sister, Mrs. Roy Cates, and family and other relatives and friends here. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Worker and little daughter Jacqueline of Los Angeles, Calif., are spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Charles Conover. Also guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Conover are Mrs. Ruth, and Miss Mary Stanberry Charles Worker and daughter, of Los Angeles. La Dean B. Headman of May-wood, May-wood, Calif., is spending two weeks visiting here and in Provo, where she is visiting with her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. O. Headman. Tommy Oakes of Salt Lake City was a Springville visitor on the Fourth of July. g Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Gore visited Tuesday in Salt Lake City with her daughter, Mrs. Clyde Pace and family, also her daughter Maurine Maur-ine who is training at the L.D.S. hospital, and her granddaughter, Mrs.. Marvin Florence, the former Virginia Pace, at the Holy Cross hospital. Mrs. Florence has a new baby daughter. Miss Nell Jean Vane, an employee em-ployee of the Tracy Collins Trust Co. in Salt Lake City for the past year, with Miss Bernice Liechty, also employed in Salt Lake, as her guest, returned last Sunday from a delightful week's vacation at the Tracy Club on the Upper Snake river in Idaho. The girls enjoyed boating, fishing, swimming and horseback riding, and also a trip to Yellowstone Park. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Nielson-of Spanish Fork. No definite date is set for the wedding. The bride-to-be is enrolled in the local high school and has attended at-tended the Utah State Agricultural College. Mr. Nielson has spent five years in the service, with four and a half years of the time in the Pacific. |
