As Emily, pretty but strait-laced strait-laced librarian who discovers she has a temper to match her red hair when she meets Gable, th.e actress has a chance to display her talents not only for the emotional emo-tional role which have brought her an Academy Award, but the sophisticated comedy which made her a favorite of the London stage. Stellar support for the spectac-lar spectac-lar duo is the flip Joan Blondell Tully, John Qualen, Richard Haydn and also Thomas Mitchell, and the vivacious Lina Romay who not only makes her screen debut as a full-fledged actess but receives her first screen kiss from Gable. |
