Show RAIL GROUP ASKS ONE AGENCY FOR RAIL, AIR, WATER The Association of American Railroads told Congress that it be-'ieved be-'ieved Government regulation of rail, water, air, and highway transportation trans-portation should be coordinated under one agency. It also recommended a new approach ap-proach to adjustment of rail indebtedness, in-debtedness, revision of anti-trust legislation as it applies to the railroads, rail-roads, and insistence by the government gov-ernment that each form of transportation trans-portation pay its own way without with-out subsidization. The A. A. R. suggested that transportation interests should be allowed to expand into any other field of transport whenever public welfare and convenience would be served. i |
