Show Personal News Notes . Mr. and Mrs. R. Orval Stuart and small son, of Ogden, Utah, visited here last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Stuart, and his sister," Mrs. Clifford Beardall and family. Mrs. LaMar Friel of Ogden, visited here over the week-end with her husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Friel. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lyall and children of New York City, are visiting in Springville for a few weeks with his parents, Mr. and Mrs., A. M. Lyall. Robert is with the International General Electric Co., being sales engineer working with the Russians on equipment for the reconstruction of their famous fa-mous Dnieprosttroi hydro-electric plant on the Dnieper river which waa partially destroyed during the war by the Russians in retreat and later completely destroyed by the Germans. The generators in this project are considered the largest in the world. Mr. Lyall has not visited his home town for about seven years,, and this is the first visit of his wife, a former Denver lady. Mr. and Mrs. Lee W. Davis left Tuesday morning on a vacation trip to Jackson, Wyo., where they will visit their daughter, Mrs. LaMar Mason, and family. Mrs. Fern Dever and children of Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Evelyn Harris of Santa Monica, Calif., have spent the past week with relatives and friends in Springville. They returned to their homes on Tuesday. Mr. , and Mrs. Stanley Roberts have had as their guests for the past two weeks, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Aders of Trenton, N. J. The two couples also spent a delightful time touring the canyons of southern sou-thern Utah. Mrs. LoydBird and daughter Geniel left Saturday in company with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Nielson to spend ten days in Los Angeles, Calif. . t Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peterson (La Ree Bird) are visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Loyd Bird and with relatives in Provo. They have been at Lawton, Okla., where he was stationed with the army and he expects his discharge soon. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bliss and Mrs. Lillian B. Corey of Salt Lake City spent, the Fourth with Mr. and Mrs. Paul Miner. Mr. and Mrs John Roberson had as their guests on the Fourth their daughter, Ms. Robert Booth and husband and children of Castle Cas-tle Gate. Clarence M. Selwyn, Mrs.. Roberson's only nephew and wife, from San Diego, Calif., were also guests for two days at the Roberson Rober-son home. Mrs. Max Wimmer and children, Maxine, Bonnie, and Kay, and John Meyrick of Magna, visited the past week. with Mrs. Wimmer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Meyrick, and her sister, Mrs. Shirley Shir-ley Poulsen and family in Springville. Spring-ville. Marsel Tingey, who is employed at Bingham, and R. G. Weight, who is. working at Tooele, spent the Fourth of July with relatives and friends here. Miss Helen Brown of Magna is spending the week with her aunt, Mrs. Alice Wilmott and cousins, Vera, Alberta, and Zella Wilmott. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Clark and two daughters of Seattle, Wash., plan to return to their home Friday Fri-day after a few days' visit here with relatives ard friends. Mrs. Vera Marcusen s.nd son Burt of Nampa, Ida., are visiting with her., sister, Mrs. Mae Huntington Hunt-ington and other relatives and friends in Springville and Provo. Miss-Alzada Wilmott is recovering recover-ing at her home from a recent operation op-eration which she underwent at the Utah Valley hospital. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn have spent the past few days with relatives rela-tives and friends in California. Dr. and Mrs. O. Wilford Olson (lone Palfreyman) and daughter Babara and son John of Angleton( Texas, have been visiting with Mrs. Olson's mother, Mrs. Lydia Palfreyman and other relatives and friends here the last three weeks. Dr. Olson, who is connected connect-ed with the Bureau of Animal Industry, In-dustry, Dept. of Agriculture, and who is credited with discovery of the treatment for liver fluke in range cattle, has been on inspection inspec-tion tours with other federal officials offi-cials in the vicinity of Beaver, Vernal, Redmond and Salina while in Utah. He also attended conventions con-ventions of veterinaians in Salt Lake City and at Logan. Mrs. Ted Thorn left on Tuesday for her home in New York where she was called by the accidental death of her father. Mr. and Mrs. James Payzant, son and grandson, stopped here for a visit with his cousin and wife, Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Payzant, on their way to their home in St. Paul, Minn. They have spent the winter months in Tucson, Ariz., and expect ex-pect to return there to make their home. EIRay Fehr of Whittier, Calif., arrived today for a visit with relatives rela-tives here. His wife and son Tommy, Tom-my, have been visiting here for several weeks at the home of her parents, Mr. and" Mrs. Richard Huntington. Mrs. D. J. Scalmanini and two sons of San Francisco, Calif., are spending the summer with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Roy-lance. Roy-lance. She accompanied her brother, broth-er, Fred Roylance, and his bride, the former Beth Reed of Provo, back from their wedding trip to California. ' Fred was married in Provo on June 22. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Whiting and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Whiting of St. Johns, Ariz., are visiting relatives and friends at Mapleton, Springville and in other Utah cities. |
