Show V - Mr. and Mrs. Jess O. Whiting have returned to Springville from Long Beach, Calif., to make their home here. Mr. Whiting plans to go into the service soon. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Blanchard and children of Salt Lake City visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John Blanchard and other relatives rela-tives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird and daughter Joan of Midvale visited Sunday with his mother, Mrs. May Bird, and other relatives and friends in Springville. George Weight is spending a few days of this week with relatives rela-tives and friends in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Mary Wood is visiting indefinitely in-definitely with a niece, Mrs. Barbara Bar-bara Bailey at Inglewood, Calif. She will also spend some time with her granddaughters, Mrs. Edith T. Baum and Mrs. Electa T. Clark, and families. Mrs. Wood, who recently re-cently celebrated her 88th birthday, birth-day, was accompanied to California Califor-nia by her daughter, Mrs. Will Taylor, who also spent ten days with her daughters and other relatives rel-atives and friends in Inglewood and Los Angeles. Mrs. . Myrtle Bird visited relatives rela-tives and friends at Mapleton the past week. She has been spending the winter with her son, Larry Bird, who is in the armed forces and stationed at Colorado Springs, Colo. She now plans to spend a time in Salt Lake City. Eugene Robertson, who has spent the past two years on a mission in eastern Canada, has returned re-turned to his home here. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo G. Robertson Rob-ertson of this city. Mrs. Clyde Pace and daughters, Karen and Mrs. Virginia Florence of Salt Lake City, visited over the weekend with her mother; Mrs. A. B. Gore, and sister, Mrs. Fred Smith and families. Mrs. ' Wealtha Mendenhall of Stockton, Calif., is visiting at the home of her father, A. H. Spaf-ford, Spaf-ford, who has been ill the past few weeks. Mrs. Preal Packard of Salt Lake City is spending this week with her brother, A. O. Packard and family, and other relatives and friends here. ' |
