Show S. H. S. TRACK, TENNIS TEAMS IN SNOW MEET Coach DelMoine Christensen announced an-nounced today that the Springville Red Devils will be represented in the Snow College annual track and field carnival at Ephraim Friday, April 28. The event will take in schools from Sanpete county and possibly the three schools in the Nebo district, Springville, Payson and Spanish Fork. Mentor Christesen will enter contestants in the 880 Relay, Mile, 100 and 200 yd. dashes, 440 and I the Weights. Those who will make the trip for the events are: Joe Cranmer, Dale Tuttle, Carl Cran-dall, Cran-dall, Owen Fullmer, Bliss Fullmer, and Oral Bartholomew. These fellows fel-lows will compete in the sprints. Ray Miller will be the lone entrant in the Weights. Springville High will also enter the tennis tourney in the meet with John Jensen, singles player, and Jay Reed Bird and Russell Hales, doubles team, competing. Bad weather has halted practically practi-cally all scheduled tennis matches and track events to date, causing a necessary shift of scheduled games. The Region Three track and field meet is schedulued for Friday, May 5, in the B. T. U. stadium. |
