Show A. C GRADUATE MADE OFFICER Keith S. Boyer, a graduate of the Utah State Agricultural College Col-lege in 1942, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Selvoy J. Boyer of Springville has been promoted to the rank of first lieutenant. Lt. Boyer, now a battery commander in anti-aircraft unit of the Coast artillery, is stationed with the headquarters battery at Westport, Washington. Previous to his present assignment, assign-ment, he was stationed at Fort Cronkhite, California. Lt. Boyer was an outstanding student at the U. S. A. C, having begun his attendance there in 1937-38 on a Union Pacific scholarship, schol-arship, an award made in recognition recogni-tion of his superior achivements in junior agricultural work in the state, community service and leadership. lead-ership. Lt. Boyer was made an officer in advanced R. O. T. C. in his junior jun-ior year and was commissioned a second lieutenant upon graduation. As an undergraduate he was active ac-tive in student extra-curricular affairs af-fairs in both high school and college. col-lege. He was an activity point winner at the College, served on numerous student committees and during his senior year was publicity public-ity director for the student body. Mrs. Boyer is the former Helyn Bott, also a former student at the U. S. A. C. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Bott of Brigham City and is at present living at Westport with her husband. |
