Show POULTRYMEN TO SHARE IN STORAGE REFUND During the first week of April, approximately 3,000 member-producers of the Utah Poultry Producers' Pro-ducers' Cooperative association will share in a $105,000.00 egg storage patronage refund, reports C. K. Ferre, assistant secretary. This refund, Mr. Ferre states, results re-sults from accumulated earnings on egg storage sales. All eggs received re-ceived during March, April, May and June of 1911 will be classified as storage eggs. Every shipper will receive 65 cents per case on all eggs delivered to the association associa-tion during those months. A $75,000 cash payment, representing repre-senting 47 cents per case, is to be received, while $30,000 or 18 cents per case, will be set up as a credit to the producers' account, declares Mr. Ferre. He cites for example, if a producer has delivered an average av-erage of five cases per week, that means his share in the distribution will be $55.25. Many producers deliver de-liver ten cases or more per week. Mr. Ferre asserts that the membership mem-bership received a $30,000 payment last spring, which represented 1940 egg storage earnings. |
