Show Paint and Beautification Contest Now Underway Cash Prizes to Be Given And Entries May Be Filed At Any Springville Paint Store j. ....Beautify,, .Clean-up, Paint-up, Fix-up, are the four essentials of the Beautification campaign underway un-derway at the present time under the joint sponsor- snip or the Chamber ot Com-' ' merce, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, and the Kiwanis club which began Thursday, April 11. This campaign is in line with a county, state, and national movement move-ment in the state, communities have been requested to beautify in a permanent way as well as temporary in order to prepare for the State Centennial, plans for which are in progress. To enter the contest, those who are interested can obtain entry blanks from any of the local paint stores after which a photograph of the premises to be Improved will be taken both before and after af-ter the period allowed as positive proof of the improvement changes made. Prizes of $15 for first, $10 for second, and $5 for third, are offered, and the contest will be judged by A. Y. Wheeler, Charles Boyer and Tom Smith. The contest will end April 30 and is being directed under the chairmanship of Ted Haymond, chairman of the Junior Chamber Beautification committee. Many entries have been received, but entries will still be accepted. Springville paint stores are cooperating co-operating in contributing the prizes. |
