Show ART PROGRAMS BROADCAST Two radio broadcasts concerning concern-ing the Springville Art Exhibit were given last Sunday, with another an-other scheduled for Sunday, April 21st. The broadcast at 4:15 on Sunday Sun-day was sponsored by Provo Jay-cees Jay-cees and featured a talk on the Art by J. F. Wingate, and two vocal solos by Hannah Rowland, accompanied by Mrs. Belle Thomas. The broadcast at 5:00 direct from the Art Gallery featured talks on "What the Art Project Means to Springville," and comments com-ments on various paintings in the exhibit given by Principal Brock-bank Brock-bank and Glen Turner, respectively. respec-tively. Musical selections included numbers by the high school quartet, quar-tet, comprising Melba Merritt, Ar-lene Ar-lene Hatch, Lula Fox, Winifred Garnick and Dorothy Van Schaack, accompanied by Evelyn Mackley, solo by Lavar Davies and two duet numbers by Freeman Bird and Glen Holley, accompanied by Mary Bird. The program next Sunday will feature talks by former graduates gradu-ates on the subject, "What the Art Project has meant In my life," and musical numbers will be under un-der the direction of Carl Nelson. |
