Show CAMP SPRING CREEK MET ON THURSDAY afternoon at the home of Mrs. Reba Reynolds with Mrs. Cleonda Miner, Helen Reynolds, Mrs. Eliza P. Taylor and Mrs. Crystal Powel-son, Powel-son, assisting hostesses. An interesting program was given under the direction of Mrs. Willis K. Johnson, first vice-captain. Mrs. Ella Cragun read a history composed by Mrs. Wayne Johnson of her parents, Leonard and Tryphena Perry Whitney, early pioneers. The lesson, which included a history of the Springville Spring-ville paper, was given in an interesting inter-esting manner by Mrs. Johnson. Mrs. Oscar Boyer read two lovely poems of her own composition as a tribute to the early pioneers, and Mrs. Erma Brailsford read an early pioneer song. Mrs.' Christie Lee, captain of the camp, gave a short talk on the accomplishments of the D. U. P. camp and announced an-nounced that this would be the last regular meeting of the season. seas-on. Refreshments were served at the conclusion of the program to twenty-nine camp members and guests. I |
