Show THE MAPLETON D. U. P. CAMP MET THURSDAY at the tome of Mrs. Hannah B. Mendenhall where an interesting program was presented. Captain Nell Wiscombe gave a report of the past two years' work during which time she has served as captain of the camp. An interesting inter-esting history of the life of Hannah Han-nah Haines Brown Whiting, early ear-ly pioneer, was given by a great granddaughter, Mrs Louise Harmer Har-mer of Payson Her son, Richard Harmer, entertained with saxophone saxo-phone selections. Attending the meeting were four generations, beginning with Mrs. Abbie Bird, who is a charter member of the camp and was on this day a special visitor from Payson. Other special guests were Mrs. Jennie Hill of Payson, Mrs. Eliza Mendenhall of Lake Shore, Mrs. Louise Harmer of Payson, Mrs. Erma M. Hjorth and Mrs. Hannah Gene Fry. Two county officers were in attendance at-tendance at the meeting, Mrs. Edith M. Powell and Mrs. Lovina Johnson of Provo, and under their direction, officers of the camp for the coming two years were elected and are to be found in another part of the paper. Concluding the program, refreshments re-freshments were served to approximately approx-imately fifty camp members and guests. Hostesses for the occasion occa-sion were Mrs. Hannah Mendenhall, Menden-hall, Mrs. Ovilla Jensen and Mrs. Senate Mendenhall. |
