Show 'DEVILS CAPTURE SECOND HALF TENNIS CROWN Coach Tippetts Develops Strong Team With Young And Inexperienced Group of Players Coach Twain Tippetts' Springville Spring-ville High School tennis teams captured the second half crown in the Nebo title chase without dropping a single match. They defeated Provo, Payson and B Y. High and tied their match with the Spanish Pork racqueteers. Starting out the season with a young and inexperienced squad, Coach Tippetts has developed his team members into a formidable outfit. Playing on the team this year were: Russell Hales, Dick Crandall, John Jensen, all of whom are Juniors; Jay Reed Bird, Don Chavis, Hal Christensen, Sophomore aces; and Paul Eg-gertsen Eg-gertsen and Cal Finley, only two Seniors on the squad. With most of the squad returning return-ing next year with a year's experience, exper-ience, prospects look very promising promis-ing for the Red Devil tennis stars.- Here are the results of the second sec-ond half play: Scores: Springville 2, Spanish Fork 2.
