Show GEORGE S. BALLIF TO SPEAK AT JAYCEE MEETING George S. Ballif, Provo attorney, attor-ney, prominent and well informed speaker, will address members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce at the regular bi-monthly meeting and luncheon at 8 p. m., Thursday at Memorial hall. His subject will be, "The Peace to Come." The meeting will be under direction direc-tion of Kay Johnson, Jaycee president, presi-dent, with Howard Maycock of the Paint-up, Clean-up, Fix-up campaign, cam-paign, in charge of the program. In addition to the principal address, ad-dress, a fine musical program is also being arranged. President Kay Johnson stated Wednesday that at a recent board meeting it was decided to terminate termin-ate the beautification contest on May 31, but that the victory garden gar-den contest would continue until the last of June. He also urged citizens to enter these contests now as there is still plenty of time remaining to win one of the two $10 war stamp prizes offered by the Jaycees. Also at the meeting the board appointed Jay Strong as a one-year one-year director to succeed Glen Tipton, Tip-ton, who resigned. |
