Show aoting Governor for two years. I Despite his age he conducted the I affairs of Wisconsin so well that the people, in his eighty-first year elected him Governor in his own right. While many fine accomplishments accomplish-ments have been performed by men of mature age, it is somewhat some-what rare for an octogenarian to be elected Governor of a State. In the case of Governor Goodland his opportunity to serve his people peo-ple came unexpectedly through the death of the Governor-elect. However, he measured up to the demonstrated his ability to serve responsibilities of his office and please his people. Eighty-Year-Old Man ' Is Elected Gov. Goodland, Wisconsin editor, who will be eighty-one years old on Dec. 22, has been elected Governor of the State of Wisconsin.
