Show THOS. GRIFFITHS SERVICES HELD Thomas Griffiths, 60, died at his home at 11 a. m. Thursday morning. A son of Thomas and Alice Loyd Griffiths, he was born May 6, 1881, at Havod, near Pont-Pridd, Glormorganshire, South Wales. He came to this country as a boy Bev-en Bev-en years of age, settling In the Schofield mining section. He then moved to Castle Gate, where he spent most of his boyhood. He moved from there to Eureka, where he married Sara Ann Rolfe in 1904. He had lived in Springville Spring-ville for the past 31 years, working work-ing as a farmer. His wife died in 1923, and he married Annie Powell Jenkins, September 3, 1905, at Provo. He served as a volunteer fireman fire-man for a number of years, and he was also a member of the I. O. O. F. lodge. He was an active member of the Fruit Growers' association, as-sociation, in which organization he was vice-president. Surviving are his wife and three sons: Tom, Salt Lake City; Fred, Springville; Rolfe, Springville; a daughter, Marie Wheeler, Los Angeles; An-geles; a stepson, Ray Jenkins, Washington, D. C; and 11 grandchildren. grand-children. Funeral services were held Sunday Sun-day at 2 p. m. In the Fourth ward, with interment In the Evergreen cemetery under the direction of the A. Y. Wheeler and Son mortuary. |
