Show KELLER ITOKUD KILLED IN TRAIN ACCIDENT Body Discovered Beside Tracks Early Wednesday Keller Joseph Penrod, 27, was fatally Injured early Wednesday morning when he was killed by a train on the Denver & Rio Grande tracks near the Hobble creek bridge crossing at Fourth North and Fourth West, Springville. It was believed that he was ld while trying to board a northbound train, with the train throwing him under the wheels. Utah County Sheriff Theron Hall and City Marshals Roy Harrington Har-rington and Frank Metcalf investigated inves-tigated the accident. The officers reported that Mr. penrod was found by Glen Hoffman Hoff-man at approximately 6 a. m. Wednesday, and that according to a report made by the attending physician the accident had . probably prob-ably occurred about midnight. The physician reported that Penrod died of a fractured skull, fractured jaw, and other injuries. He was born November 21, 1913, at Provo, the son ol Wilford and Hattie Faucette Penrod. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Vir-ginia Penrod, two children, Douglas Doug-las and Jimmy, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Flava Leavitt, Mrs. Mamie Johnson, Mrs. Berniece Johnson, Frank, Grant, Paul, Gam, and Ned Penrod, all of Provo; Mrs. Merlene Johnson, Springville; Mrs: Velma Roylance, Springville, and Don Penrod, Colorado. Colo-rado. Funeral services will be Thursday Thurs-day at 3 p. m. in the Springville Third ward chapel, with burial in the Provo city cemetery. |
