Show HERSHEY SAYS SOLDIERS' MORALE 0KEH "I never saw an army that wouldn't vote to go home," says Gen. Lewis B. Hershey, federal fed-eral selective service director. The general merely points out that Americans prefer home life to army life and there would be something wrong with Americans and their homes if this was not the case. The reports that one hears about soldiers complaining, about this and that in camps and on the train ing fields, reminds us that most Americans find something to grumble about with little effort. Despite their chronic dislike of what is underway they will make good soldiers for their country. There's nothing to worry about so far as the morale of our soldiers sol-diers is concerned. |
