Show She recently observed her fifth anniversary an-niversary with Union Pacific Stages. During this five-year period per-iod she has traveled from 7000 to 8000 miles every month via bus. This steady round of travel enables Mrs. Brown to visit every depot on We system about 10 times a year, and many of the larger cities such as Omaha and Salt Lake City are visited even more frequently. While Mrs. Brown's first interest inter-est is in maintaining rigid cleanliness clean-liness and utmost convenience and comfort for women in rest rooms and meal stops, she has extended her services even further by making mak-ing the acquaintance of feminine passengers on the buses and inquiring in-quiring as to their opinions and suggestions for improving modern bus service from the woman's point of view. Some of the information in-formation she has received in this manner ' has brought about many innovations and up-to-date features fea-tures which have added greatly to the pleasure of today's bus travel and are appreciated by both men and women alike. This specialized inspection service provided by Union Pacific Stages with the assistance as-sistance of Mrs. Brown has been well repaid by the numerous favorable fav-orable comments heard almost daily from passengers. TRAINED NURSE INSPECTS BUS STATIONS Over half a million miles of motor mo-tor bus travel in a little over five years! That's the unique record held by Mrs. M. W. Brown, trained nurse, who regularly inspects every depot and terminal on the entire Union Pacific Stages system. Thanks to the unique services performed per-formed by this veteran feminine bus traveler, thousands of other women have enjoyed vacation trips by bus this summer more than ever before. In line with their policy of specialized spe-cialized attention and constant improvement in numerous details of comfort and convenience for women wo-men passengers, Union Pacific Stages believed that only a woman could fully understand and appreciate appre-ciate the problems and desires of travelers of her own sex. As a result, re-sult, Mrs. Brown was asked to undertake the job of conducting a constant, rigid inspection of all rest rooms and convenience facilities facili-ties for women travelers in every depot, and to offer suggestions for improvements in cleanliness and comfort as well as any other ideas which might add to their travel pleasure. Mrs. Brown was the first woman to be employed in this capacity by any bus company. |
