Show I Wins Scholarship . . . ( "l ' David Alleman DAVID ALLEMAN WINS A. C. SCHOLARSHIP The F. B'. A. chapter of the Springville high school was again honored with the selection of David Alleman as winner of the Sears-Roebuck Sears-Roebuck and Co. $100.00 scholarship scholar-ship to the Utah State Agricultural Agricul-tural college. Mr. Alleman, an outstanding out-standing Future Farmer, is a 1941 graduate of the local high school, and earned the scholarship over a competitive field of students in the Nebo district through his outstanding outstand-ing achievements as a student iri this department. David is the fourth Springville Future Farmer to receive this honor. W. H. Anderson reports that his selection makes the fourth out of six possible winners during the past six years, an outstanding record rec-ord for the school. Other former students of Mr. Anderson who have achieved this goal are Keith Boyer, Ruel Crandall, and Jim Alleman, brother to David. LaMar Boyer was chosen alternate to Jim Alleman last year and would have received the scholarship had it not been used by Jim. j David will enroll at the TJ. S. A. C. in the school of agriculture this fall. He is the son of Mrs. Emma j K. Alleman. Besides winning recognition in a scholarship way, the Future Farmer Farm-er boys won high praises at the recently concluded Utah county fair held at Provo. Many first and second prizes were won and these prize-winning exhibits will be displayed dis-played at the Utah state, fair in Salt Lake City. |
