Show JAYCEES SCHEDULE AMERICANISM MEETING TONIGHT The regular meeting of the Junior Ju-nior Chamber of Commerce will be Thursday, March 2, at 8 p. m. in Memorial hall. ' The theme of the . meeting will be "Americanism," with the chairman chair-man of this committee, Ted Hay-mond, Hay-mond, in charge. The Americanism American-ism essay contest which has been under way in the Senior and Junior Ju-nior high schools has been completed com-pleted and the two winners will read their respective essay and re-their re-their awards at the meet- ing. The committee has arranged for two very fine speakers for the evening to deal with American problems as we have them today. John Booth of Spanish Fork will talk on "Americanism" and Postwar Post-war Problems." Dr. C." A. King will address the group on "Social Hygiene," which is becoming a very important American problem. prob-lem. Taylor Burt, chairman of the War Activities committee, announces an-nounces that the cooperation of all the Jaycees will be needed to put Springville over the top in the coming Red Cross drive. He urges every member to not only help the Jaycee committee but to help all other district chairman to make this drive a success. Ernest Boyer, chairman of the Dance Club, wishes to remind all members and everyone who desires de-sires to attend, to be on hand next Saturday mgnt, Marcn 4tn. rms will be a regular dance with the final one to be on the night of March 18. The quarterly board meeting of the Utah State Junior Chamber of Commerce will be held in the Ho- tel Newhouse on Sunday, March 5th. President Kay Johnson would like very much to continue the fine record of attendance at these meetings. Those desiring to attend please contact President Johnson. |
