Show Delphians Fete 4 cRetiring Chapter Pres. Mrs. M. R. Straw, retiring president presi-dent of the Delphian Society, Mt. Maple chapter, was honored by fellow members at a dinner Monday Mon-day at Valley Tavern. Mrs. J. W. Grant, newly elected president, was toastmaster for the evening and she, with Mrs. F. V. Martin, presented a cleverly arranged ar-ranged skit on the various members mem-bers present. In behalf of the group, Mrs. G. Ray Hales presented the ' past president's jeweled pin to Mrs. 1 Straw, who responded. The diningtable for the dinner was beautifully decorated with a centerpiece of white Madonna lilies and yellow daisies arranged in a white swan bowl, with tall yellow tapers in crystal holders at either end. Covers were arranged for Mrs. M. R- Straw, Mrs. J. W. Grant, Mrs. Earl Condie, Mrs. Roy De-spain, De-spain, Mrs. Mark Johnson, Mrs. Catherine D. Wills, Mrs. F. V. Martin, Mrs. Charles Franks, Mrs. W. W. Clyde, Mrs. George Nelson, Mrs. C. G. Salisbury, Mrs. G. Fay ; Hales. |
