YJewd Yjoted Sterling Diamond, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Diamond is among the Springville servicemen given furloughs for the deer hunting season. He is stationed at Colorado Colo-rado Springs, Colo., and was given a 5-day vacation. Clark Bray, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Bray, has been home on a 10-day furlough from Fort Ord, Calif. He will have eight more weeks training there with the army airborne troops. Three other local men, Vernon Lee Anderson, Robert Rob-ert Stanger and Jimmy Duncan, stationed at the same base, came home with Clark. Frank E. Brown arrived home for the deer hunt from his station sta-tion at Port Hueneme, Calif. He will visi his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown, two weeks reporting report-ing back about November 5. He has been in the'service since March and . has completed a surveying "school. When he returns, he expects ex-pects to be assigned to overseas duty with the Seabees in the Philippines. Phil-ippines. Tom Beck, son of Mr., and Mrs. Wayne Beck is home on furlough to visit his parents and take in the deer hunt. He is stationed with the Navy Air Force at San Diego, and will be here about ten days. |
