Show ! Funeral Services At Mapleton for Mrs. Nancy S. Bird Funeral services for Nr.ncy Steele Bird, 93, one of the first pioneers to settle Mapleton, were held Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Mapleton Ward LDS chapel. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery directed by Claudin Funeral Fun-eral Home. Mrs. Bird died Friday at Midnight Mid-night .at the home of a daughter Mrs. Jessie .Probert in Provo. She was born Sept. 25, 1861, in Springville, Spring-ville, the daughter of Jesse and Frances Alexander Steele. She married Roswell Bird in Salt Lake Endowment House Oct. 6, 1880. He died in 1919. Survivors include four daughters: daugh-ters: Mrs. Probert, Mrs. Cora Clegg, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Hor-tence Hor-tence Smith, Torrance, Calif., Mrs. Mariba Startup, Los Angeles, California; Cal-ifornia; 21 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and six great-greatgrandchildren. |
