Show little daughter arrived in Springville Spring-ville last week from Roswell, N. M., where Robert is stationed with the airforce. Working in the budget and accounting office, Robert was given a 15-day furlough fur-lough and they are spending the time with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Thorpe and Mrs. ' Thorpe's folks in Provo. Included in the crew of the Mount Katmai which arrived in San Francisco recently re-cently after completing her fourth tour of duty in the Korean zone was Donald D. Perkins, seaman, USN, husband of the former Miss Colette Singleton of 9 S. 7th E., Springville, Utah. Since leaving the United States last June, the ammunition ship has been engaged in replenishing units of Task Force 77, while underway i along the coasts of Korea. After the cease fire agreement in Korea, the Mount Katmai has been in a standby status in the Far ; East area. Mrs. Floss Cares enjoyed a visit from her sister, Mrs. Chester Johnson of Salt Lake City last weekend. Mrs. Betty Zilm and two children chil-dren of Half Moon Bay, Calif., is spending the entire month of January Jan-uary in Springville to help her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Ira Nostron, who is convalescing con-valescing from a major operation which she underwent January 6, at the Utah Valley Hospital. Mrs. Zilm is also visiting her mother, Mrs. Eudora Jensen. Jack Childress is spending two weeks in Springville with his wife, the former Peggy Crandall, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. T. Crandall. Peggy stays in Springville and is teaching school in Spanish Fork. Jack is to report at Fort Benjamin, Harrison, Ind., for a special training course in postal operations for the next two months. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Thorpe and |
