Show Red Devils Open League Schedule Fri. Against B Y High at T' Stadium contest. In other games in region 3 this week end, Spanish Fork travels to American Fork; Pleasant Grove goes to Pay son; North Sanpete plays at Wasatch Academy and Lincoln travels to Lehi. w Springville high school's grid-ders grid-ders will open their 1951 league race against their heretofore "jinx" opponents from the Brigham Young High at the BYU stadium Friday at 3:00 p.m. This year, like most of the other years, the Springville team will be the favored club. However, in the past two or three years this has meant nothing since the "Y" highers have come up with stinging sting-ing upsets when they could defeat no other team in the league. This year should definitely find the Springville eleven stronger than their opponents and baring some "jinx" on the Y high's part, should come home with their initial win of the year. Coach Pehrson's club came out with a 0-0 tie against the highly-favored highly-favored Granite machine a Granite last Friday night to boost their stock way up in region 3 warfare. The Devils came within scoring distance of the Farmers but were kept out of pay territory because of costly fumbles.
