Show AM A Claims Victory Over State Medicine Dr. Elmer L. Henderson, Louisville, Louis-ville, Ky., president of the American Ameri-can Medical Assn., claimed victory vic-tory ''as of now" over the Truman Administration's efforts to "socialize "so-cialize medicine." The association, representing 147,000 doctors throughout the country, has fought the president and Federal Security Administration Administra-tion and Federal Security Administrator Adminis-trator Oscar Ewing for three years in their atemps to enact compulsory compul-sory health insurance somewhat similar to the health plan now in operation in England. Henderson said, "we have moved a long way toward the ultimate goal of proving that voluntary methods can solve American care problems." |
