Show Modern Mothers Hear Program of Music A delightful evening- was spent by the ladies of the Modern Mothers Mo-thers club Wednesday when they met at the home of Mrs. Quentin Nelson at Brookside. The program was a beautifully-worked-out presentation of the life of Geo. Gershwin, given by Mrs. Annie Forahee. Interspersed with the story were several solo numbers num-bers of his compositions. Mrs. Vera Zobell sang, "Summertime," Someone Some-one to Watch Over Me," l'Ive Got Plenty of Nothin' " and "Embrace-able "Embrace-able You." Mrs. Beryl Nelson played a piano selection, "The Man I Love," and Mrs. For-shee For-shee played on the piano "Second Prelude" and "Rhapsody in Blue." It was decided that the next club meeting would be dispensed with, as a ward Relief Society is planned for that night. The club will meet at the home of Mrs. Beth James the second Wednesday in October. |
