Show Red Devil i rack Team Competes In Snow College Meet Friday Springville high school track adepts will participate par-ticipate in the annual Snow College Invitational track meet at Ephraim Friday, according to Coach George I'enrson. Springville teams have made an enviable record in the Snow meet in the past several years, having won it at least three times and having three of their men being named the outstanding stars of the meet. These men include . Harold Norton, Gordon Smith and Morgan Thomas. While the season is young and the team yet untested, the Springville Spring-ville club should win its share of the laurels. Coach Pehrson will be counting on Earl Tuttle, sprints; Billy Biggs, splints, pole vault; Eldon Francis, hurdles; Lorin Bryan, Bry-an, shot, discuss; Robert Chapman, Chap-man, disc and javelin; Clair Ship, Dahl Coble, javelin; Bernell Hut- r i chings, Donald Tuttle, Gary Waite, Dan Barton, Marvin Spafford, quarter mile; Hal Burroughs, half mile; Alton Beck, Marvin Reid, mile; Billy McClain, high jump. The more experienced men who will be counted on heavily will be Shipp, Bryan, McClain, Reid, Tuttle, Tut-tle, Burrows. Coach Pehrson will test his team out at Orem today with a brief meet with the Lincoln tracksters. Other meets set up for the track season include the Nebo meet at Payson on April 28. The annual Region Three event will be staged May 7 or 8. The state meet will be held May 15. |
