Show 'Mapleton PTA Names Officers The Mapleton PTA was reorean ized Monday night with Rot,, White elected to be president for the coming year. Chosen to work with him were: 1st vice president Jeane Halle; 2nd vice president Warren Beardall; secretary and treasurer, Helen Campbell; historian, histor-ian, Cora Ellis. President Leonard Harris was in charge of the meeting and Dr Riley Clark of Provo, who is chairman chair-man of Utah County Polio Field test, was the speaker. He spoke oa polio field tests and urged parents to cooperate with the polio program pro-gram which has been outlined for this county. Tests will be given at Mapleton on April 27, May and June 1 commencing at 9 o'clock in the morning. Papers will be sent home with the children which parents are to answer and return to the school immediately in order that the program pro-gram may work efefctively. The officers of the PTA this year with Leonard Harris as president pres-ident and officers of last year with Lora Whiting as president presented pre-sented the school with a record player which was acepted in behalf be-half of the school by Principal Warren Beardall. |
