Show Seminary Plans Major Events Friday, Monday , The Springvilel Seminary will be guests at a dance at the Payson high school gym Friday evening, and buses are being provided for transportation at a small fee, instructors in-structors report. The Payson seminary officers were in Springville Monday of this week to extend an invitation to the social function which will includ-e a variety of entertainment as well as dancing. Blaine Wood is president of the Springville seminary; LeRoy Rrickson, vice-president; Roger Nielson, secretary and Gylan Allan, Bernell Hutchings, LaMar Hansen, class representatives. Monday night will also be a special occasion for seminary prospective pros-pective graduates, who will join with others from Payson, Spanish Fork, Provo, Lincoln, Pleasant Grove, Lehi and Heber City, to hear a talk by LDS church general gen-eral authorities at the BYU Joseph Smith building. Program numbers will be furnished by the various schools. Preceding the meeting, the students stu-dents will be received by heads of the LDS church deparment of education ed-ucation and visiting authorities. Refreshments will be served at the close. Buses will leave Springville seminary sem-inary at 4:45 p.m. and at 6 p.m. Students going early will tour the BYU campus with guides. An attendance of approximately 900 students is expected. Supervising the Springville students stu-dents will be Ei-win Sheffield, principal; prin-cipal; Alton D. Merrill and Hal L. Taylor, instructors. |
