Mr. and Mrs. George Wilby Metcalf, nee Helen Ilolley Springville Couple Exchange Vows In California; Making Home Here Back . in Springville receiving congratulations from their many friends are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. G. Wilby Metcalf whose marriage mar-riage was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Metcalf in San Fernando, Calif. Wilby is the son of Mrs. Frank Metcalf and his lovely bride is the former Helen Holley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Holley of Mapleton. Relatives and close friends witnessed wit-nessed the wedding rites which were performed by Bishop James Craddock after which the wedding party went to the home of another brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Milan Metcalf where a reception recep-tion was held the same evening. For Ker nuptial date, the bride chose an Empire styled gown of shell-pink antique satin, ballerina length with drapped V-necked bodice bod-ice and cap sleeves. A tiny pink hat ringed in orange blossoms, el- j bow length pink gloves and pink shoes completed her attire. She carried a bouquet created from a large white orchid, lily-of-the-val-ley and bouvardia from which fell white streamers knotted with lilly-of-the-valley. Her only attendant was Mrs. Milan Metcalf. also attired in pink. Lyman Metcalf was best man. Details of the reception were arranged by Mrs. LaMar Metcalf, Mrs. Lyman Metcalf, Mrs. Harry Alleman. They were asisted by friends of the young couple. The l-eceiving rooms were decorated dec-orated with lilies, camelias, and orange blossoms. The couple received re-ceived their guests before the fireplace fire-place which was banked with tall lilies, carnations and roses. The wedding cake, three-tiered, and topped with a minature bride and groom was encircled with camelias and orange blossoms bedded in deep green foliage. Soft music lent a pleasing air to the party. In addition to their wedding reception, re-ception, the couple were feted at a wedding breakfast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert M. Miller at Annaheim and the following Saturday evening were guests of honor at a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Alleman. Alle-man. Wiby and Helen honeymooned at Carmel-by-the-Sea, Southern California scenic spots, and Las Vegas, Nevada. They arrived home April 9 and will make their home at 86 E. 4th N., in Springville. |
