Show 3 Art Instincts Was Club Topic The progress and development of art instincts in youngsters was presented in an interesting manner by Richard Gurfn, BYU art instructor instruc-tor and former art curator at the Springville Art Gallery, at the Thursday evening meeting of the T.aHiQ T.ifprnrv r.lnh hplri nt the home of Mrs. Harold Christensen. Mr. Gunn explained the art instincts in-stincts in youngsters through exhibition ex-hibition of a number of original drawings made by children of various var-ious ages. He suggested that paint blocks might tend to develop a sense of dependency in children and discouraged their use in favor of suggestion to children to get them to use their imagination. Mrs. F. C. Packard entertained with two vocal solos, "Can't Help Singing," and, "Springtime," accompanied ac-companied at the piano by Mrs. Lacelle Sumsion. Mrs. Paul Thorn and Mrs. Paul Wallker reported on the meeting of the Womens Legislative Council. Coun-cil. The meeting was preceded by a delicious luncheon served by the hostess, who was assisted by her daughter, Miss Connie Christensen. |
