Show V F Grant 5th Helps Beautify Town Last Tuesday was clean-up day. We took our rakes and cleaned the streets. We hope that our class and all the other classes that were working on the streets made some improvement on them. We had clean-up to clean the streets for the art exhibit. Mr. Ericksen, our principal, told us that we did a very good job on the streets. We hope the people who visit the art exhibit think so, too, for we are very proud of our city. We were glad, to have a chance to help clean it up and make it more beautiful than it already is. Wednesday the Sixth grade put on a play for the Grant school. It was all about the history of Springville. First they sang a song. They showed the naming of Hoble Creek. They had dances and songs. It told about the first settlers set-tlers that came to Springville. They also put the same play on Wednesday night. But they charge 25 cents for admission. The money helped pay for the sound camera that has showed us all the films that have helpe'd us in our study. The Sixth grade put on a wonderful wonder-ful play. We hope lots of people saw it Wednesday. RALPH ROSTRON 5th Grade, Grant School. |
