Show Springville Woman ' Appointed To t; State Committee lf Mrs. Margaret Keller has been ij, honored with appointment by Go-vernor Go-vernor J. Bracken Lee to the Exe-f. Exe-f. cutive Committee of State Confer-p Confer-p ence Social Work the purpose of . which is to study welfare and J. health problems as they effect children of the s t a t e, it was learned here this week. The committee is comprised of 10 well-qualified people, who have had extensive training and exper- ience in this branch of service in addition to six specialists who will serve in an advisory capacity. ; Mrs. Keller stated this week :; that she considered the appoint- ment not only a distinct honor, but ' an opportunity to study and serve ' the needs of the state in this par-, par-, ticular field. She will serve on the committee in addition to doing her regular work as executive secretary secre-tary of the Children's Aid Society, a child adoption agency at Ogden. Mrs. Keller, the former Margaret Margar-et McPherson, daughter of Mrs. Flora McPherson of this city, received re-ceived her degree from the Brig-hma Brig-hma Young University in Sociology Sociol-ogy and Psychology. She served eleven years as child welfare supervisor su-pervisor of the Utah County Department De-partment of Public Welfare prior to going to Ogden. While working in Utah county, she was given leave of absence to do graduate work in accredited schools of social so-cial work at the University of California and the University of Chicago. |
