Show "Old Timers" Night Held By. Jaycees It was "old timers" night at the Wednesday evening meeting of the Springville Junior Chamber of Commerce, and present to participate partici-pate on the program were six of the nine past presidents of the organization. or-ganization. These included Grant S. Thorn, Kay Johnson, Ernest M. Boyer, Verl Whiting, A. H. Mortensen, and Robert L. Parker. The other three men, Ray L. Richards, Glenn Hansen Han-sen and Ray Klauck, were unable to attend Each of the men spoke briefly on the activities carried on during their respective administrations after which they were presented clever and amusing "chapeaus" significant of some phase of their activities while in office. The hats were created by Willard Ostlund, Wallace Patrick and Carence Smith, who arranged the program. Group singing was led by Deal Mendenhall, another "old timer," and Don Humphrey entertained with vocal numbers accompanying himself on the piano. Dance routines rou-tines by two students of Valene Stewart also were given. Robert L. Parker was toastmaster and present prexy LaMar Miner presided. |
