Show Three Big Dance Parties Planned For Ward and Stake Young Folks At least three big dancing parties are planned during the next few days for the young people of this vicinity. The Kolob stake Junior and Explorer Rose Prom is to be held Saturday evening, even-ing, February 11. The Fifth ward Sweet Heart Ball is set for Monday Mon-day evening, February 13, and on this same evening, the Sixth ward is planning to hold their ward Gold and Green Ball. Junior-Explorer Prom The Second-Eighth ward amusement amuse-ment hall will be the scene of the Junior-Explorer Rose Prom and everything is being done by committeemen com-mitteemen in charge to make this event a charming affair. It is to begin at 8 p.m. As each Junior girl arrives at the ball she will be presented with a rose. The dance will be semi-formal semi-formal and a highlight of the evening even-ing will be the floor show and dance demonstration during intermission. inter-mission. Refreshments will also be served. Attractive decorations featuring a. Valentine theme will be used about the hall and in various other details of entertainment. Arrangements for the Prom are under direction of the stake Junior leaders, Mrs. Richard Haglund and Mrs. Verl Whiting and Wilford Manwaring stake explorer leader. 5th Ward Sweetheart Ball A pretty Valentine theme will be used in decorations for the Fifth ward Sweetheart Ball Monday Mon-day evening in the First-Fifth ward hall. Miss Gwen Reid will reign as queen of the ball with Miss Norma Weight and Miss Geraldine Murray, Mur-ray, attendants. Little Cindy James and Shirley Jean Nelson will be flower girls and David Thorn, crown bearer. In charge of the ball will be the effnerei nf fhA wnrrl M T A. 6th Ward Gold-Green Ball The Mapleton ward hall will be the scene of .the Sixth ward M. I. A. Gold and Green ball Monday evening, February 13, beginning at 8 p.m. A delightful floor show, set for 9:30 p.m.. and all other details of the entertainment will center around the theme, "Gold and Green Fantasy". Several queen candidates candida-tes will be in attendance and from them a queen will be named to represent re-present the ward in the stake Gold and Green ball. Dance demonstra-vtions demonstra-vtions will also be given from the various M. I. A. groups. Queen candidates include, Nila Ruth Tingey, Jane Norton, Dorothy Doro-thy Fackrell. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Weight are general chairmen of the affair and are being assisted by the following follow-ing committeemen: Mrs. Mary Wright, refreshments; Mr. and , Mrs. drant Richins, floor show; Mrs. Maxine Weight, stage decorations; deco-rations; Keith Beardall; Mrs. Mae Miller, invitations and program. |
