Show Information Booth Termed Success . A. ft The publicity which Springville received through operation of the Information Booth at the City Park the past summer can never be measured in dollars and cents, in the opinion of the Chamber of Commerce, under whose sponsorship sponsor-ship the project has been carried on. Reporting on the success of the Beoth which opened the last week of June and closed Sept. 8, Secretary Sec-retary A. W. Cherrington said that two or three times more in-queries in-queries were made at the Booth this summer over last. Credit for the increased number was due possibly to the streamer across main street calling attention to tourists to the place of information. informa-tion. Many letters have been received v - by the Chamber from tourists who expressed appreciation for the service and the fine treatment re- . ceived in Springville and at the same time praising the beauty of this valley and commenting on the wonderful cold drinking water. J. M. Groesbeck, attendant at the Booth reports a most interesting interest-ing experience meeting all kinds of tourists from families of ten including in-cluding three sets of twins to two young girls crossing the country on bicycles. No one failed to have a good cold drink of the city's pure spring water, he said. The Chamber invites nil to join with them and express their ideas on how to boost Springville and make it a better place to live and rear a family, Mr. Cherrington re- ports. |
