Show Teachers Guests Of Kiwanians AtDinner Meet School teachers of Springville and Mapleton will be guests of the Springville Kiwanis club this evening, eve-ning, the dinner-meeting planned for 7 p.m., in the Third-Ninth ward. Dr.J. N. Symmons of the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University faculty, field of juvenile deliquency, will be the speaker of the evening discussing dis-cussing before club members and their guests some of the problems of this age gi-oup. About one hundred teachers from the grade school and the high school are expected at the meeting which will be emceed by Glen Seal of the high school faculty fac-ulty who is also a club member. The teacher-club meeting is held annually shortly after the beginning be-ginning of the school year as a good-will gesture and to express the appreciation of the Kiwanis club for the work the teachers are doing. Clubmen heard John Klas, public relations manager of Safeways discuss the increasing demands for canned and other prepared labor-saving foods, at their meeting meet-ing last week. LaVar Cloward, manager of Safeways was toast-master toast-master and Mrs. Bonnie Snelson gave musical selections, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Maurice Bird. |
