Show Stake MIA Road Shows Set Mon., Tues. in IDS Wards The ever-popular Road Shows sponsored by the Mutual Improvement Associations of the LDS church are being revived again this year with announcement of Kolob Stake's entertainment programs planned for next Monday Mon-day and Tuesday evenings, Oct. 1 and 2, in the various wards. MIA meetings usually held on Monday will meet at the regular time, 7:30 p.m., when seven 10-minute 10-minute acts prepared by the organizations or-ganizations which meet on Monday, Mon-day, will be presented in each of the ward meetings. The Eleventh and Sixth wards currently meeting at the Brook-side Brook-side school, will assemble in the Stake House jointly, with the Fifth and Seventh wards on Monday, and Tuesday, respectively. All other wards will meet in there usual meeting places to see the show. On Tuesday those wards which regularly meet this evening will present seven 10-minute shows for presentation beginning at 7:30 p.m. in their various wards. Mrs. Marie Whiting, president of the YWMIA stake board, said that judging of the 10-minute acts will be made and a rating will be given for performance. Also as a special attraction of the evening, each ward in the stake is sponsoring a quartet as part of the music activity and these quartets quar-tets will perform between acts and they too will come in for a rating, Mrs. Whiting said. The Road-Shows are under the supervision of the stake activity counselors, Lawrence Lynn and Mrs. Ted Best and are being directed by Stake Drama Director Mrs. Wm. Schreiner: also the music mu-sic directors, Mrs. Vera Zobell and Mrs. Mina Murray who will have charge of the quartets, and the dance directors, Mr. and Mrs. Michael DiLello and speech director, direc-tor, Mrs. Vonda Hatch, all of whom are working with the various vari-ous ward directors. |
