A one-act plav entitled "The Perfect Couple" was presented to the Mapleton Ward MIA by tne members of the Mapleton Second Ward. Mary Ann Bradford was director and was assisted by Mane Stone, Merlene Degraw and Norma Nor-ma Hatfield with the make-up. The cast consisted of Calvin Hjorth, Boyd Halverson, Billy Pulsipher, Bill Wiscombe, Bruce Heath, Tom Gabbitas, Wayne Allen, Al-len, Ermine Stone, Colleen Hatfield, Hat-field, Elaine Simmons, Judy Wright, Joan Hall, Bonnie De-Graw, De-Graw, Beverly Hansen, Gay Bennett. Linda Hall, young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hall, is in the Spanish Fork hosiptal as a result of a pedestrian-car accident on Sunday when she was returning home from Sunday School. It is reported that no bones are broken. Mrs. C. W. Erickson was honored hon-ored on her 89th birthday with a family dinner at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Norris T. Binks. Covers were laid for the following family members: mem-bers: Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Erickson, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Clark and Mrs. Edith Erickson of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Orlando Erickson. of Murray and Mrs. D. S. Hopla of Mapleton and the hosts. A yellow yel-low and gold color scheme was used in decorating the table which was centered with a beautiful birthday cake trimmed in two shades of yellow. The Mapleton Lions entertained their ladies at a supper party Thursday night at Bart's Cottage in SpringvUle. The tables were decorated in patriotic colors. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Harmer and Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Allen were responsible re-sponsible for arrangements. The speaker of the evening was Francis Rowe who showed films with his lecture. His topic was "People, Products, and Progress in 1975." Special guests were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Despain of Spring Lake, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Binks of Mapleton, and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Hamilton of Orem. Bruce Mendenhall has been appointed ap-pointed as Explorer leader in the Mapleton Second ward. Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Davis and family of Phoenix, Arizona, were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Binks last week. They are returning to Utah to make their home in the future. They plan to live at Genola. Mrs. Georgia Plumlee spent Sunday at the home of her son |
