Show Mapleton People Return from Boston Convention Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Allan of Mapleton recently returned from attendance at the national soil conservation convention in Boston, Mass., in company with three other couples from Orem. The Allans spent a delightful Ptime in Newark, N.J., where they were guests of their son-in-law's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Mnl-heiro. Mnl-heiro. It was their first trip east and the Malheiros took them to many places of interest in New York and New Jersey. The Utah delegation made the trip by plane and after leaving New York the Allans joined the other couples for the convention at Boston. From here they traveled to Buffalo where they had dinner at the Sheridan Brock which overlooks over-looks Niagara Falls. The Allans then went on to Lansing, Mich., where they picked up a new car for a dealer to make the return trip home, stopping overnight in Denver. Aside from the many interest- tag places visited, the trip proved especially enjoyable for Mr. and Mrs. Allan as many friends in Chicago Chi-cago and New York as well as in Denver with whom Mr. Allan had become acquainted on his river trips, had them at their homes and entertained for them. They were gone in all about 12 days. |
