Show Co. Organization Works On Publicity Plans to work out an educational campaign on scenic attractions of interest to tourists was the center cen-ter of discussion at the Board of Directors' meeting of the Greater Utah Valley Inc., held in the Utah County Commissioners' chamber, Tuesday, March 7. The plans as presented by George E. Collard, member of the Public Relations Committee, would include the holding hold-ing of schools in the several cities and towns throughout the county to acquaint filling station operators, opera-tors, hotel managers, waitresses and others who have contact with the traveling public on sales technique tech-nique with a view toward acquainting acquaint-ing the tourists with the scenic attractions of Utah Valley. It was decided to use the facilities and personnel of the Central Utah Vocational Vo-cational school so far as possible in order to make the program more effective. Reports were also heard from the Signs and Advertising Committee headed by Reed J. Knudson on the progress of a map which is being prepared to show the high-lights of Utah Valley to the travelling public. Glen Turner, winner of Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Award attended at-tended the .meeting and discussed the advantages to be gained from presenting the important features of Utah Valley in an educational movie. |
