Show Kiwanis Magazine To Be Theme Of Meeting Tonite The Kiwanis program this evening even-ing will center around the Club Magazine and the theme suggested by Kiwanis International will be followed by Toastmaster Harold Christensen. James F. Wingate will tell of the origin of the magazine and an open forum will also be conducted. Several Sev-eral short talks on various phases of the publication are being prepared pre-pared by members for presentation presenta-tion during the meeting. The club will meet at Chicken Roost at the regular time, 7 p.m. The Kiwanis magazine of which O. E. Peterson is editor, is published publish-ed by Kiwanis International .to promote the objectives and public affairs and activities of Kiwanis International, an organization devoted de-voted to the principles of service and to the advancement of individual individ-ual community and national welfare wel-fare and to the strengthening of international good will. , Nephi and Springville met conjointly con-jointly last week, with James Mc-Cune Mc-Cune toastmaster. Dr. Preston L. Jones, Nephi mayor, was speaker. He directed his remarks to the problem of supplying adequate amounts of culinary water as it confronts communities today. Plans are going forward by the local club for the annual Art Banquet Ban-quet to be held on Saturday evening, even-ing, April 15. Dinner will be served serv-ed at 7:30 p.m., at Memorial hall and after a short program, the club members and guests will go to the art gallery to see the pictures. In the meantime, local club members mem-bers will visit each of the clubs in the state and extend to them a personal invitation to attend the April art function. |
