Show Mapleton Church Reception Honors Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Karl Felix "TSty Merlene DeGraw joined Pfiedf of Mr. and Mrs. Harold DeGraw$ of Mapleton and Karl is the son of Ivan Felix of Springville. A wedding reception was held for them the following evening in the Mapleton Church. Summer flowers and lighted candles formed the background for the bridal pair and their attendants. Merlene was radiently beautiful in a gown fashioned fash-ioned of nylon net over taffeta. The snug fitting bodice was finished fin-ished with long pointed sleeves and the full skirt was floor length. She carried a bridal bouquet consisting con-sisting of a single orchid suround-ed suround-ed with feathered pink and white carnations. Her attendants wore pink and blue summer frocks and carried nose gays of rose buds and gardenias. Miss Bonnie DeGraw was maid of honor with DeAnn Bramall, Beth Felix, Janice Hen-line Hen-line and Barbara Hall as bridesmaids. brides-maids. Mrs. Felix chose to wear blue accented ac-cented with black and Mrs. DeGraw De-Graw was attractive in pink. Their corsages were of pink rose buds and white gardenias. LaMar McClellan was best man. Betty and Rowley Curtis presided at the guest book. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out in serving refreshments which was done under un-der the supervision of Doris Hal-verson Hal-verson who was assisted by Grace Bennett, Alberta Banks, Afton Barker, Helen Campbell and-Goldie Peterson with the following girls helping: Rose Marie Halverson, Fay Curtis and Kathleen Bennett. Gifts were arranged by Mae Dox, Clara Henline, Vera Long and Luana and Ray Baadsgaard. George Bird of Springville introduced in-troduced the program which follows: fol-lows: prayer, Jacob Felix, grandfather grand-father to the groom; violin solo, Merril Johnson; vocal solo, Moani Johansen; toast to the bride, Louise Brammall; accordian selection, selec-tion, Sheila Henline; toast to the groom, Ed Roundy; vocal trio, Evelyn Ev-elyn Allen, Louise Schwartz and Laura Bennett accompanied by Marilyn Tuttle. The closing prayer was given by John DeGraw, grandfather grand-father of the bride. Prelude music was played by Mrs. Louise Schwartz. After a honeymoon trip to Bryce Canyon the young couple will make their home in Salt Lake City where Karl is employed. |
