Show Tourist Booth Opens; Leaflets Being Prepared To acquaint tourists and other visitors in Springville, with the attracting in this vicinity, the Chamber of Commerce is having two thousand leavlets printed ready for distribution from the Tourist Information Booth in front of the City Park and other places. Mayor A. W. Cherrington, secretary secre-tary of the Chamber of Commerce, said Wednesday that many out-of-town people have already taken advantage of the information offered of-fered at the tourist booth and have stopped in the city to enjoy the cold spring water and the shade at the City Park. J. A. Groesbeck is the attendant being there from 1 to 6 p.m. daily. The information pamphlets point to the famous high school art gallery gal-lery open in the evening from 5 to 8 p.m.; the Memorial Park, where from 500 to 700 people participate par-ticipate in recreation six days a week; the cool camping areas in (Continued on page 2) Tourist Booth Opens; Leaflets Being Prepared (Continued from page 1) Hobble Creek canyon; the U.S. and State Fish Hatcheries north of town; the swimming pool on North Main; boating and fishing on Utah Lake; the Steel industry; Timp cave and Timp hike. The leaflets will be distributed from service stations, garages, motels mo-tels and cafes as well as from the information booth. In addition to the information on the leaflet, 18 leading business establishments are listed with ads to inform tourists and other visitors visi-tors where they may stop and shop in Springville. |
